The Speedguard jacket from Cast Iron is made for changing weather, combining windproof protection with 4-way stretch so movement stays easy. Tech Down padding provides insulation without excessive bulk. Its water-repellent finish and detachable hood provide protection when it rains. Engineered sleeves support natural mobility. Two side pockets and two inner pockets keep the things you need organized.

Windproof jackets are designed to keep cold air out completely. Thanks to a special layer in the material, warm air remains close to the body. This prevents the wind chill effect, where the perceived temperature feels much lower than the actual temperature. Ideal for open plains, long walks, or a crisp autumn day.

Water repellent

Water‑repellent jackets are treated with a special coating that causes droplets to roll off the surface. This protects against light rain or snow, but is not fully waterproof. Over time the coating can wear off; retreatment is possible.

A finish on the outer fabric that effectively repels light rain and moisture

Tech Down

Tech Down is an innovative insulation made of loose polyester fibres that trap air and create a down‑like effect. It’s lighter than traditional down, retains its insulating properties even when wet, and dries more quickly. Additionally, it’s often more animal‑friendly and easier to wash. A smart choice for everyday use.

Synthetic insulation as an alternative to down

Breathable

Breathable materials wick away body heat and sweat. Especially during physical activity, this prevents overheating or a clammy feeling. The higher the breathability, the better the jacket performs during intense activities. Breathability (MVP): up to 10,000 Breathability is measured as MVP: Moisture Vapour Permeability. This value indicates how many grams of water vapour per square metre of fabric can escape in 24 hours. The higher the MVP, the better the jacket’s breathability.
